Not including side projects, it has been 2 years since we’ve heard from The Black Keys (since the Danger Mouse produced ‘Attack & Release’ to be exact)…Their new album will be out May 18th and it called ‘Brothers’ (see the cover art below). Most of this 15-track album was produced by the Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney themselves at Alabama’s Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.
And on top of that, Keys’ Auerbach is wrapping up producing the next album by the Nashville-based Cadillac Sky on their forthcoming album ‘Letters in the Deep.’ Recorded in Auerbach’s Ohio studio, Akron Analog, the album won’t be ready until June 8th… but Cadillac Sky are offering a FREE download of the song ‘Hangman’ to give us a sample of what they are currently working on (for the cost of an email address).
