Nashville’s Ranch Ghost is a new band who have been on our radar the past couple months. They are so new in fact, that there are only a few live videos and a live limited edition cassette tape floating around to even document their music… We typically don’t write-up a band prior to a studio release, but for Ranch Ghost with live shows this promising, we’ll make an exception!
The band recently sent us 2 digital tracks from their ‘Live at Mt Swag’ limited edition cassette tape, which is out now via Jeffery Drag Records (only 25 copies) and is actually Ranch Ghost’s first show. The band was also at Battle Tapes Recording last month, so expect something from the studio soon. A 7-inch? Maybe an LP? We’ll keep you posted. All we know is, we can’t wait!… Check out the tracks ‘Ragged Mile’ and ‘Long Hand‘ below and hear why this is one band to watch:

[…] As we reported in September, the band was at Battle Tapes Recordings this summer… Well, we should be getting us our first taste from those sessions in early 2012! “The Battle Tapes stuff should be coming out early next year as a three or four song 45. An LP will hopefully be in the works soon after that.”… Lookin’ forward to it fellas! Until then, the band made a video of one of their newer songs, ‘Won’t Bother Me.’ This should hold us over till next year: […]
