In a recent interview with an Australian newspaper Courier Mall, Chan Marshall (aka Cat Power) reveled that she would be recorded her next album, the follow up to 2008’s ‘Jukebox,’ entirely by herself. This will be her first album without a backing band since her pre-‘Moon Pix’ days.
Marshall: “It’s just me this time, I’m at a point where my heart tells me, ‘Chan, you haven’t played piano or guitar for four or five years,’ and I do have guilt about that.”
