TSR EXCLUSIVE: Stream Moonlight Bride’s NEW EP ‘Dead Language’

November 26, 2012 4 Comments

The Chattanooga 4-piece Moonlight Bride are one of our favorite local bands. With that said, we were honored when the band asked us to premiere their latest release, ‘Dead Language,’ a week before the official release date!

The new 5-song EP is dropping December 4th, and is holding us over as the band finishes up their full-length record that will be out later next year (2013). As frontman Justin Giles explains, “It’s a group of songs we recorded and always liked, but just didn’t seem to fit with the material that we’ve been putting together for the new album.”

In detail about the EP, Giles continues, “Our generation is obsessed with the flash and flare of some pawn dancing around and pressing a couple of buttons and calling it electronic or dub-step. ‘Dead Language’ is anti that.”

Stream ‘Dead Language’ in its entirety below and download your copy via iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Rhapsody Tuesday, December 4th:

July 11, 2012 0 comments

Chattanooga locals Moonlight Bride and Machines Are People Too have both separately released some pretty tight EPs the past week. The albums are on each band’s Bandcamp page and are available for free download for a limited time:

Moonlight Bride’s latest is a 6-song EP of remixes from their February 2012 release Twin Lakes. The EP features tracks by Summer Dregs, Machines Are People Too and a killer remix of the Twin Lakes’ single ‘Lemonade’ by Los Campesinos! Stream the album below and if ya dig, download it HERE for the low cost of your email address:

Machines Are People Too’s latest is called ‘Dreams’ and is the band’s first official studio release. The EP includes 5 original tracks produced by Lars Stalfors (The Mars Volta, Matt & Kim). A great independent effort from one of the hardest touring bands in town. Stream the EP below, and again, if ‘yer diggin’ it, download it HERE for FREE:

Times New Viking: w/ Moonlight Bride September 7th

August 10, 2011 0 comments

Times New Viking will be dropping by JJ’s Bohemia September 7th along side Chattanooga’s own Moonlight Bride! This Columbus, Ohio lo-fi 3-piece are currently on tour promoting their latest LP ‘Dancer Equired,’ which hit stores earlier this Spring via Merge Records (instead of their previous label, Matador)… and if you don’t already own it, you should go do so HERE! Well, while your at it, pick up their Matador release ‘Born Again Revisited’ HERE too. Both great albums.

One thing we thought was interesting about teaming-up these 2 bands together is the fact that both had performed live at Paste Magazine sessions in Atlanta — The only difference was Times New Viking’s performance was recorded at Atlanta’s The Earl during a sound check.

Catch both bands’ PasteMagazine.com Sessions below and see why we’re fired up for September 7th!
