During the iTunes Festival in London this Saturday, Third Man Records signed Seasick Steve covered the Mississippi Fred McDowell song ‘Write Me a Few Lines’ joined with a few surprise guests: Jack White, Alison Mosshart (The Dead Weather/The Kills), and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). Check out this great footage from the performance:

The Kills: Return with New Album

It has been nearly 3 years since The Kills (Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince) released 2008s Midnight Boom. An album in which triggered Mosshart and Jack White to team-up to form The Dead Weather… but after the announcement this week, The Kills are back!!!

Their fourth studio album is titled Blood Pressures and drops April 5 followed by a tour to support. Check out the tour dates and the official Kills album press announcement below.

Harlem! LIVE! Tonight in Chattanooga!

Just recently coming off their tour opening for The Dead Weather in early August, Austin TX’s Harlem will be in town tonight (9/7) here in Chattanooga at JJ’s Bohemia… If you haven’t seen them here before, BRING IT TONIGHT, cause this might be your last time to see this trio in such a small venue!

Their most recent release, Hippies,’ is out now via Matador records and is a definite contender for The South Rail’s top 10 albums in 2010… Check out the tracks below and see you tonight…

Harlem: ‘Tila and I’ + Dead Weather Tour

While Harlem was on the Europe leg of their tour, the Austin boys stopped by Amsterdam Acoustics to shoot a great acoustic set of ‘Tila and I.’ They’re back in the states currently touring the west coast, but get ready to catch them later this summer opening up for The Dead Weather in the following cities below… Congrats guys!

The Greenhornes Return! New Album This Summer

Since The Raconteurs formed in ’05, we haven’t heard much from Cincinnati trio The Greenhornes (who consists of Craig Fox, Jack Lawrence (Dead Weather/Raconteurs), and and Patrick Keeler (Raconteurs)… In a recent Q&A with San Francisco Weekly, bassist Jack Lawrence stated the following about the upcoming Greenhornes record:
“…It’s [the new album is] finished. We’re trying to get it out this summer hopefully. We’re getting a couple shows lined up too. There’s already one that we’re going to do in New York…”
