Could this be the band of Jack White’s wife Karen Elson?

Third Man Records have been slowly building up the anticipation of the label’s new “mystery group” The Black Belles. As we reported a few weeks ago, the silhouette image of the 4 mystery members were revealed along with a 30-second clip of their first single ‘What Can I Do?‘ which is available now on 7″ via Third Man here.

Now, a teaser trailer for the single’s video (view it here) was released which was directed by Jack White… And also, the band member names were revealed: Olivia Jean, Shelby Lynne, Ruby Rogers and Erin Belle…

But, is it just us, or does Black Belle’s Olivia Jean looks very much like Jack White’s wife, model Karen Elson? Nothing has been released on this. We’re just saying… You be the judge (see above).

Other BB member, Erin Belle, is a known model from the Nashville area. Check out her work here (and below) and become a fan on Facebook…

Just Revealed: The Black Belles ‘What Can I Do?’

About an hour ago, The Black Belles (Third Man Records‘ newly signed, Jack White produced band) have a sound and face to go with their name…

Since the new year, there has been no information about this band… just a silhouette image of the four band members, a one-image ‘coming soon’ website and a MySpace account… there is still no information of the band member’s identities. Do you recognize anyone?

The Dead Weather: Live EP

Today The Dead Weather released a live EP titled ‘Live From Third Man West’ exclusively on iTunes and Nokia music stores.

The new five-song/four-video digital EP was recorded during Third Man Records brief pop-up store in downtown LA (back in August) and features the following:

The Dead Weather are halfway through recording their second album!

Alison Mosshart said the follow-up to recently-released debut could be completed before the year is out. She said: “In between now and Christmas I’m going to go back to Nashville [Third Man Records] at some point.

White Stripes Release Rare Tracks

The White Stripes just released rare outtakes from their debut album. Jack White’s label, Third Man Records, released the rare tracks via his online service The Vault.

Tracks include alternative takes from the duo’s 1998 seven-inch single ‘Let’s Shake Hands’ – and its B-side ‘Look Me Over Closely.’ The rarities are available to The Vault’s platinum subscribers, who also receive an exclusive vinyl album ‘The Raconteurs, Live In London.’
