Check out this TSR exclusive track from Chattanooga’s own Folk Killer! The single is called ‘GURLS GURLS GURLS GURLS,’ and is the 2nd track from the band’s upcoming debut self-titled LP. We’ve already taken the record for several test drives and can insure you this sucker does not disappoint.

From key tracks like ‘GURLS GURLS GURLS GURLS’ and ‘George Washington,’ in addition to new takes of 2 Giant Tiger classics… For those from outside of Chatt, the band features Gabe Williams (Fast Boys) and Nick Sterchi (Dead Confederate, Bohannons) who were both from the Chattanooga-based band Giant Tiger.

Catch Folk Killer live this Thursday, February 20, at JJ’s Bohemia with NOBUNNY and The Hussy! Tickets are only $7 (with no service fees) – Get yours HERE before they sell out!

Houndmouth are wrapping up one hell of a year. The Weeks are closing 2013 on a high note as well with a year of non-stop touring supporting their new album ‘Dear Bo Jackson.’ The Mississippi boys (now via Nashville) also spent a couple mouths overseas touring the UK opening for Kings of Leon, and wrapped up their their year playing 2 back-to-back sold out shows in Nashville just last week.

GET TO KNOW: Mom & Dad

January 9, 2012 1 Comment

Mom & Dad are a band that have recently caught our ear. Our only disappointment… that it took this long to discover them (for being just down the road from us)! This Murfeesboro, TN 4-piece have not only dropped their debut full-length ‘Cave Art’ independently last year but also released the 7-track EP ‘Pieces/Parts,‘ back in November. Fuzzy, lo-fi pop straight-outta Tennessee… What else can you ask for?

Check out both of Mom & Dad’s 2011 releases below and if your in the Nashville area Tuesday (1/10), swing by The End, where they’ll be playing with Don Coyote, Bad Back and The South Rail favorites Ranch Ghost:
